Family Profile: He Loves His School

We are fortunate to have many families reach out to us with their experiences regarding educational options. They are part of our Family Profile series.

This week is recognized as National School Choice Week. Since its beginning in 2011, there have been more than 58,000 events across the country and around the world. New Hampshire partners – including Children’s Scholarship Fund NH, NH Catholic Schools, Granite State Christian Schools Association, Granite State Home Educators, and National School Choice Week — are holding a celebration in Manchester tomorrow. In honor of this, we are sharing this note we recently received written by a 10-year old boy. The mom was bursting with pride and happiness, knowing her son is in the right environment for him.

Below is the photo and the mom’s comments, shared with permission.

This comes from a 10-yr old boy who absolutely positively did not want to go to private school due to fear of change. THIS makes it all worthwhile. This makes every single sacrifice worth it.

We are very proud of him! And very proud of our choice! It was past time.

I have two kids, 7 and 10. Both learn very differently and have different challenges. Both equally brilliant and public school was not, in the least, meeting either child’s needs. Education is so very important and a different atmosphere has made a world of difference. My son, who wrote this note, was so sad and defeated, as were we. Now he is thriving – a straight-A student. I KNEW it!! All along I knew what he could achieve. My daughter, who is 7 years old is very bright and was not being challenged at all. She was bored, wanted to excel, and was not allowed. I’m sorry ranting here! Just very proud and happy for my children. We have such relief on our end, not having to fight anymore.
