2019 Picnic Promises to be Best Yet

The Granite State Home Educators’ 3rd annual Not Back to School Picnic is shaping up to be the biggest and best one yet! It is a great opportunity for families to connect and make new friends who may be in their own neighborhoods or across the state.

Mark your calendars to join us on Friday, September 20th (September 27th is the alternate rain date) from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Livingston Park in Manchester. Families may bring their own picnic lunches and a snack or yard game to share. We’ll meet at the big-kids’ playground area.

Last year’s picnic was a huge success with over 200 people in attendance!

As a way to encourage attendance and highlight homeschool-friendly organizations, we’re giving away raffle prizes. Tickets are FREE — parents receive one ticket just for attending, a second for signing up for our monthly e-newsletter, and another for bringing a snack or yard game to share. Stop by the GSHE table when you arrive to get your free raffle tickets and stick around to pick your prize (must be present to win).

So far, we have prize donations from the following businesses and organizations:

Classical Conversations, locations across the state

Gear Up Homeschoolers, Warner

In a Lather Bath Art

Latitude Learning Resources, Manchester

Let’s play Music & Make Art, Southern NH

Live Love Dance Centre, Union

Play>Practice, Seacoast locations

Seacoast Christian Home Educators Association (SCHEA)

Three Threads Crafted Creations

Unchartered Tutoring, Manchester

This year we’re adding something new – homeschool-friendly organizations are invited to have an information table at the picnic to help connect with families in their areas. Look for these orgs to further connect into the community near you and with people who will support your home ed journey.

Please RSVP on our Facebook event so we have enough goodies for everyone. We hope you can join us for the fun!
