Granite State Home Educators has always been a grassroots effort — by families, for families. From the beginning, our mission has been to offer trusted information, practical resources, and a place where NH homeschoolers can encourage and support one another.
For a decade, our Facebook groups — including our large GSHE group with more than 6,000 members and GSHE Action — have been part of that story. But beginning October 1, 2025, both groups will be closed as we bring everything under one roof at our website, www.gshenh.org.
Our website was built to be a true one-stop gathering place where families can find:
- ✅ 10 step-by-step guides for every stage of the homeschooling journey
- ✅ A Resource Directory with 600+ entries and money-saving programs
- ✅ Community forums that carry on the same kinds of conversations we’ve hosted on Facebook
This move also reflects GSHE’s commitment to protecting families and keeping our community strong. On Meta’s platform, we don’t truly have control. Spam accounts, junk content, and outsiders can slip through despite careful screening. Algorithms decide what members see, and privacy is never guaranteed. Over time, that interference compromises the integrity of the group — and that’s not good enough for New Hampshire’s homeschool community.
By moving everything under GSHE’s roof, we can keep the heart of our community safe, independent, and reliable — free of outside interference. Families will continue to find encouragement, support, and connection in a space we manage ourselves.
👉 Next step: Create your free account at www.gshenh.org to join the forums and continue the conversation with other families.
We’ll still share updates on our public GSHE Facebook page and through our monthly newsletter, but our true community home will be at gshenh.org.
Thank you for being part of GSHE — built by families, for families, and here for the long haul. We can’t wait to welcome you under one roof.
Warmly,
Michelle
