Thank you to Savannah for allowing GSHE to publish her research paper so it can reach the NH homeschool community. Our members expressed great interest in reading her research. Thank you for compiling all this information to help people gain an appreciation for home education and its psychological effects compared to public education.
This literature review was my integrative project for my Bachelor’s degree. For the past two and a half years, I have been a stay-at-home mother, homeschooling my 2 children. I wanted to pursue my degree in Psychology as my goal one day is to be a marriage and family therapist. This paper was my final project for my degree and it was a free choice topic. I chose homeschooling as I am very dedicated to my children’s education and honestly believe that homeschool is better for my children. I believe that the public-school systems are setting our children up to fail and that parents need to have more say in what our children are learning. This review serves as a guide to empirical studies showing the psychological and academic successes resulting from home education. This is by no means a perfect review; it was the best of my abilities as a Bachelor level student. Thank you for reading my review and I hope you gain new information!
