After two decades of serving New Hampshire’s families and home-education community, I have decided to bring Granite State Home Educators to a close.
Although my work supporting New Hampshire families and homeschoolers began more than twenty years ago, GSHE launched in 2016 to give dedicated focus and resources to our home-education community. We started with a simple goal: to provide accurate information, practical resources, and a place for families to find support as they navigated home education. Over the past decade it grew far beyond what I imagined at the start. Thousands of families have used GSHE’s resources, followed our work, attended events, participated in our communities, and looked to GSHE as a trusted source of information.
GSHE’s story has always included the devotion of many volunteers. Over the years, people contributed their time, knowledge, ideas, creativity, encouragement, and expertise. Some stayed involved for many years; others helped during a particular season or on a particular project. Every contribution became part of GSHE’s story, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who played a part.
I am equally grateful to the families who made up the GSHE community. Some of you found us when you were just exploring home education. Others have followed along for a decade or more. You read and shared articles, used the resources, came to events, asked questions, offered ideas, recommended GSHE to other families, and told us when something we created made a difference. Knowing that something GSHE produced helped a family move forward with a little more confidence, clarity, or connection is what made the work worthwhile.
GSHE will officially close in mid September. That month’s newsletter will be our final one. GSHE’s website, social media, and blog will go silent after September 15, 2026.

There is a great deal to be grateful for when I look back at what GSHE accomplished. I am proud of what we built together and especially thankful that it proved useful to so many New Hampshire families.
