Early College Planning Event for Students in Grades 8 to 11

In late January 2021, GSHE co-hosted another virtual event in our college planning series with the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) specifically for homeschooling families. This particular discussion was perfect for homeschoolers in grades 8 – 11 and their families.

During this presentation, we shared strategies for academically preparing for college and helpful tips on researching colleges and majors. We also discussed a preview of the financial aid process.

NHHEAF is hosting an online event for high school juniors and families at their 22nd annual Destination College event. It is on Saturday, March 20, 2021. The event and workshops are free to students and parents. Refer to their website for more information and to register.

For more information about homeschooling at the high-school level, look on GSHE’s website in High School & Beyond.

In September 2020, we co-hosted another event with NHHEAF; watch the video of our Homeschool to College: Transcript Insights from Admission Officers video here.

You can find more college planning and preparation resources on NHHEAF’s website.

GSHE is working on plans to host additional events with NHHEAF to support our high-school homeschooling families.
