On Saturday, July 25th, I was a guest on GrokTALK to discuss HB 603 and HB 332, two parents’ rights bills that Governor Hassan vetoed. Begin listening at 62:25. HB 603 is a bill that would explicitly give parents the right to refuse their child’s participation in statewide assessments. We will try to overturn the Governor’s veto when the House resumes in mid September. Please sign our petition to send an email to all legislators — all Representatives and Senators — asking them to support parents to direct their children’s education. HB 332 was a bill that would have closed a loophole in existing statute so parents are given prior notice and access to materials used in human sexuality classes.
